DETROIT RESIDENTS STILL GUINEA PIGS FOR STELLANTIS EGLE AND THE CITY OF DETROIT

STATE OF MICHIGAN AND STELLANTIS STILL USING DETROIT’S EASTSIDE COMMUNITY AS GUINEA PIGS

Today, Stellantis invited members of the media to its facilities here on Detroit’s eastside. The purpose was to show off recent upgrades to their air emissions system. As soon as the meeting was over, Detroit News reporters came to my house for comment. As we talked, we could all start to smell the paint again. I called Michigan’s Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy to report the odors. The next thing I knew, Stellantis had sent an employee out to check it with no equipment other than his nose. It looks like the regulator is allowing the perpetrator to police themselves
